Struggling from the loss of his wife and job, a widower sits down to his planned last meal at his wife's favorite restaurant. Unbeknownst to him, the restaurant is in its final days from lack of customers and raising rent. But when the young daughter of the waitress asks for the money they need to stay open, will the widower be able to find what he needs to help them and move on with his life.

Searching for a new start after his wife left him, Drew and his old friend, a dog named Chowder, move into a house on your typical neighborhood street. In the chaos of moving in and a violent storm, Chowder suddenly disappears. Knowing his dog would not run away, Drew hunts for his dog, blanketing the neighborhood in missing dog flyers. In his search, he learns his new neighborhood seems prone to lost dogs, his elderly next-door neighbor has interesting food and a local convenience store employee’s mistrust in the world.

Heirloom is a short film spanning almost 2 centuries and the lives of three different groups of people. Though these people all exist in different times, the stories occupy the same environmental space. In the first story, a preacher tries to raise his son under the image of god. Devoted to his father’s teachings, the son realizes an attraction towards a young Mexican farm girl and attempts to deny the temptations of the flesh. The preacher discovers the amour and the girl is punished. The second tale illustrates the relationship between a father and son afraid to face themselves and their inadequacies. The final tale takes place in the future and a father and son live in fear of the unknown outside, keeping them trapped and starving in the shed. Only to learn from the past and breaking the chain that has trapped them.
